Music video shoot

I got a chance to get my hands dirty by Blackmagic’s Cinema Camera on a recent music video shoot. The only experience that I had about the camera was what I had read about it. But, everything was quite simple and easy. No crashing or anything like that. The biggest limitation is its battery. Internal battery lasts about one to one and a half hour and then the game is over. We didn’t have any external batteries, so we had to turn the camera off whenever possible and plug it in the wall when we had breaks. But, as we were shooting only with the camera with zero add-ons, I can’t complain. The image looks nice and it has some film like grain in it. I shot both 2.5K RAW and ProRes, so it’s interesting to see how they work in the grade. For the first date, I have to say I definitely would like to go out for some other time!
