In December I shot augmented reality commercials for two Finnish feature films. First of them was for Veijarit that opened last weekend and the second one for Vares that’ll open in January. Commercials were directed by Lauri Nurkse and Juuso Syrjä, respectively. In these cases augmented reality means that showing a magazine to a webcam makes the augmented reality content on the magazine come alive on the screen. Kind of cool!
In the end of December I collaborated with director Anssi Pulkkinen and shot a short documentary film that draws a picture of a legendary movie theater Bristol in Helsinki, Finland, that was suddenly closed. Almost 50 years of culture of cinema is missing when once most glamorous theater in Helsinki was torn down just hours after the last show.
